Art Therapist/Birth Doula

Erica Nicole Onofrio, director of Espace BeARTful and member of the Art Therapy Association of Quebec and Canadian Art Therapy Association, is an art therapist who graduated from Concordia University in 2018 from the Masters of Creative Arts Therapies, Option Art Therapy.  In 2020, Erica took her passion of guiding and helping individuals and studied to become a Doula with MotherWit to help empower the process of birthing.  Working with a humanistic and person-centered model, her aim is to help fulfill one's whole potential and maximize their well-being.  Therefore, she aims to help her clients to develop a stronger and healthier sense of self through the process of art in order to gain an understanding of their life.  The healing potential of art is the foundation to the creative journey awaiting to be taken, where the creation of a therapeutic alliance is enriched.

Yoga Instructor

Having graduated from Concordia University, with a Bachelor Degree in Sociology, Certificate in Family Life and a Bachelor Degree in ECEE, Melissa has always loved to learn.  Being part of the educational system for nearly 20 years, she was looking for a means to better prepare her students for the world on a more personal level. Having already practiced yoga on and off through her life, she took a leap of faith in 2018 and followed a 220 hour Ashtanga Yoga Teacher Training (RYS 200 Yoga Alliance) where she realized that this could benefit not only her students, but herself and all those searching for a healthier life journey.
